Lawn Care Basics
Our most basic lawn care package is as straight-forward as it gets. Every week, we mow the lawn, trim and edge all flowerbeds, sidewalks, and driveways, and then blow off all grass debris. This leaves you with a neatly trimmed and maintained lawn year-round. By keep your property maintained regularly, you'll discourage pests from trying to invade your home and causing damage.
New Lawn Seeding, Sod Installation, and Over-Seeding
Establishing a brand new lawn isn't quite as hard as it looks. The key is high quality seed, lots of water, and good healthy soil. From fixing bare patches from heavy machinery or pet damage, to completely bare areas, it'll be lush and green again before you know it. If time is a factor, install mature sod creates an instantly established lawn with lush bluegrass (see Landscape Installations for more information on sod installations)
Grass seed should be sown annually in the fall to help your existing lawn grow as thick and lush as possible. Most of the weed species we deal with in New Jersey start dying out in late September and October, whereas the cool-season turf grasses we use thrive in these chilly evenings. By taking advantage of this natural cycle, your lawn gets the most benefit and growth from the new seed, as it crowds out the dying weeds and fills in any bare patches. This helps keep pesticide costs down throughout the year, and helps your yard stay green throughout the winter.
Pesticide and Fertilizer Applications
Proper use of pesticides helps keep your lawn lush, and free of disease and pests. In years past pesticides were applied heavily and without much planning, much to the detriment of the yard. These days, we use Integrated Pest Management, a comprehensive system to control weeds and pests, while also being environmentally responsible, and economically responsible. Proper fertilizing keeps your grass growing green and lush, while maintaining a healthy root system for sustainability. Depending on your specific lawn needs, we'll develop a cost-effective fertilizing plan to keep your yard at its best, while not breaking the bank.
Aeration and Dethatching
Aerating your yard helps bring vital nutrients and water to the roots of the turf, and loosens up the ground so the roots of the turf can more easily grow.
Dethatching is the term used for pulling up and removing dead roots and organic matter, called thatch, that takes an extended period to decompose. This layer of thatch can become dense enough to keep nutrients away from the turf roots, causing the grass to suffer.

From keeping weeds out of flowerbeds and turf, to eliminating disease and pestilence from our yards and homes. Old mulch is just an unpleasant eye sore. A fresh coat of mulch helps make your shrubs and trees come alive with color, gives them vital nutrients, and helps hold water for the plants (and lowers your watering bill!).

All plants need routine trimming to grow their best and look their best. Trimming at least twice a year helps shrubs to grow more even and uniform, adding appeal. Routine tree maintenance is essential to encourage healthy growth, and to catch stress and disease before they grow severe. It also helps lessen the chance of large storm damage, by identifying problems before they fall.

Spring and Fall Cleanup Services
Our cleanup services includes removal of all fallen branches, plant debris, and removal of all leaves from flowerbeds and lawn. We'll also cut down your perennials and ornamental grasses, leaving you neat and tidy for winter.
